No Boundaries 5K


The next session of the Fleet Feet Sports No Boundaries 5K Beginner's Training Program will begin on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. Participants in this program will be preparing to run or walk the Lady Distance Classic 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, August 4, 2012.
The cost of the training program session is $100 (this includes your entry to the Lady Distance Classic 5K event). The program fee includes two weekly coach-led workouts, a weekly training schedule, shopping discounts, a New Balance moisture wicking top, weekly emails with training tips, educational clinics and seminars, injury prevention clinics and much more!
Weekly workouts will be held on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings at Fleet Feet Sports.
WHAT IS NO BOUNDARIES?
No Boundaries is a beginners level 5K (3.1 miles) training program designed for folks who are currently inactive, who are new to running or walking or who are working to get back in to running or walking condition. This is a nationally organized and recognized program that is sponsored by New Balance and offered at Fleet Feet stores across the country. Thousands of runners and walkers across the country have trained to complete their first 5K through this program. We are proud that hundreds of these folks are from our Fleet Feet Sports Cincinnati program!
The No Boundaries program is structured to help participants cross the finish line of a 5K event (3.1 miles) after completing this 10-12 week program. Thisi is a coach-led program that offers two-weekly group classes on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and on Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. Participants receive a weekly schedule to follow, tons of motivation and support, guidance and advice from a team of coaches and the Fleet Feet Sports staff, weekly group running or walking classes, and educational clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury. Plus, you’ll have the camaraderie of others just like you!
The No Boundaries is a year-round program that we offer at Fleet Feet Sports and you can participate in one session or several sessions! We have many folks who come back for several programs and then "graduate" on to some of our other program offerings. - Heart Mini Marathon 5K No Boundaries Program: This program is now closed. We will see you again January 16, 2013.
- Run for Shelter 5K No Boundaries Program: This program is tentatively going to begin February 22, 2012. Participants will be preparing to run or walk the Run for Shelter 5K on March 31, 2012. This is the first program that we will be offering on weekday mornings. This group will meet on Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. and Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. The start date & meeting location will be posted soon!
- Flying Pig Marathon 5K No Boundaries Program: Participants will be preparing to run or walk the Flying Pig Marathon 5K on Saturday, May 5, 2012. This group will be starting on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. We are parterning with Ohio Valley Voices to offer this program. Final meeting location, class times, etc. will be posted soon!
- Lady Distance Classic 5K No Boundaries Program: This is the only No Boundaries program that is for women only! Participants will be preparing to run or walk the Fleet Feet Sports Lady Distance Classic 5K Run/Walk on August 4, 2012. This program will begin on May 16, 2012. Running & walking classes will be held at Fleet Feet Sports on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. & Saturdays at 7:00 a.m.
- Fighting Hunger 5K No Boundaries Program: Participants will be preparing to run or walk the Matthew 25: Ministries Fighting Hunger 5K in November 2012. The program will begin August 29, 2012 and group running & walking classes will be held on Wednesdays @ 6:30 p.m. & Saturdays @ 7:00 a.m. @ Fleet Feet Sports.
